InvesTaiwan today (17th) approved another investment from Speedy Circuits Co., Ltd. under the Action Plan for Accelerated Investment by Domestic Corporations. Speedy Circuits will invest over NT$1.8 billion to construct a new plant in Jhongli Industrial Park to enhance its global competitiveness. At present, the three major programs for investing in Taiwan has attracted over NT$1.1556 trillion in investments from 751 companies, and will create 97,190 domestic employment opportunities; approximately NT$174 billion in investments from 92 domestic companies will create 12,915 employment opportunities, and the applications of 48 companies are currently pending review.
Speedy Circuits has focused on providing PCB quick sample services for many years, and has obtained AS9100D Quality Management Systems: Requirements for Aviation, Space, and Defense Organizations. It is a qualified supplier of major DRAM, IT, telecommunications, and defense, and aerospace companies, and its PCB products are sold around the world. North America is its main market and main customers include Broadcom, Kingston, Facebook, Google, Advanced Energy, Chroma ATE Inc., and Universal Global Scientific Industrial Co., Ltd. The company has benefited from the continued capacity expansion of Taiwanese server and networking equipment manufacturers, business opportunities of the stay-at-home economy driven by the pandemic, accelerated deployment of 5G infrastructure, and rapid growth of ADAS, which have increased demand in the PCB industry. Speedy Circuits plans to invest over NT$1.8 billion to build a new plant in Jhongli Industrial Park with automated production lines and smart process equipment. This will enable the company to provide the best quality and fastest delivery of small PCB/IC purchase orders, and satisfy customers’ needs on fast-moving PCB products, enhancing competitiveness and strengthening the image of MIT. This investment will create 40 domestic employment opportunities.
