Taipei, Oct. 25 (CNA) The Export Processing Zone Administration (EPZA) said Thursday that it has given approval for investment by the first Taiwanese enterprise that will return from China to do so.The company, HomeMash Wood Co. Ltd., will invest some NT$700 million (US$22.6 million) in the Chungkang Export Processing Zone in Taichung and create 170 new jobs, according to the EPZA.Manufacturing a type of vinyl wood flooring known as FirmFit, the Taiwanese company will bring advanced production and management processes to Taiwan, the EPZA said.EPZA Deputy Director General Chien Min Chao said many Taiwanese businesses have applied for approval to invest in Taiwan's export processing zones but there is little space left for new factories.For example, the Nanzi Export Processing Zone in Kaohsiung has only 3.47 hectares of land available for lease, the EPZA said.
