Taiwan is a great place for investors, concerning the utility cost (water, electricity, oil and gas). Also the rate of environmental costs, telecommunications costs and transportation costs are relatively favorable for investors. In comparison with other countries, water cost in Taiwan is quite fair. Regarding the electricity, Taiwan implements “period cost”. To protect the environment, the investment-related costs include air, noise, water, soil, radiation, waste disposal and toxic chemical substance handling and processing. According to the “Measuring the Information Society 2011 report” issued by ITU International Telecommunication Union, Taiwan is ranks as fifth country in FTTH (FTTH / B) and Internet penetration.
